A mother and her two children were injured after a car ploughed into their car vehicle at 8.30pm, in Bankwood Road.

Police found a car and arrested a driver shortly afterwards.

A teenager was due to appear in Hamilton District Court today on failing to stop to ascertain injury.

Police were waiting for the results of toxicology tests to determine whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
