Learn A Lot's nutritious daily meals got the stamp of approval with the centre's official Healthy Heart Award presented by the Heart Foundation in November.

With our healthy menu and an environment that promotes nutrition and physical activity, the children at Learn A Lot form healthy habits that can last a lifetime.

"With all our teachers passionate about quality education and care and with a strong focus on primary care for our babies we develop strong bonds with each child and their families," says centre manager Sharon O'Connor.

"At Learn A Lot Childcare our transition to school programme runs daily for about an hour and a half by Louise who is a qualified primary (new entrant) teacher, as well as an early childhood teacher."

"This programme allows our children the opportunity to practice skills that will get them ready for school in a fun way," says Louise. "It is a non-compulsory programme and is an add-on to our philosophy of learning through play."

Creativity and independence is forever fostered and enhanced by activities like baking, art, obstacle courses outside and many science experiments. With many learning opportunities during the day, Learn A Lot's teachers cater for the children's huge range of individual interests.

Learn A Lot offers 20 ECE hours per week for all three and four-year-olds, which means cheap fees for fulltime children; or completely free if you only want part-time hours.

The centre's Facebook page is regularly updated with photos and news. More information at www.LearnALot.co.nz, or drop by for a visit. You can find us in a quiet, secluded area behind the Rototuna Retail Centre, Thomas Rd.
